Some of y'all might have been anticipating this release, and some of y'all might ask, who the f**k is Tastemakers? This 19-track compilation featuring some of the labels illest emcees outta Philadelphia spittin today, will show you within the first few minutes. Don't expect to hear the same old shit on this record, with raw beats, dope lines, funny & informative skits, you may need a hood pass to wear their shoes, but you dont need one to taste a sample of what these street cats have to offer.
Culture, the man behind the beats & microphone master, provides very innovative and original music to enjoy. Check his solo track "IT IS" by "CULTURE" where he breaks the game down for you , and i gotta say personally, this is my favorite track on this compilation. The beat is very addicting, and different, unlike anything i've heard before. Culture spits nicely on it, delivering a perfect flow, and really letting you know how he feels on various topics, keeping you listening very closely. The 3rd verse is my favroite.
The album also features a variety of emcees with various flows, that are worth checking out, and keeping an ear to the street for. You'll find Akil Nuru, J Khahn, General Granz, Ciph Born, & Selena Carrera who has a very soothing, major-label-worthy singing voice.
